Thanks for posting this. I hope you can answer a question or more I have. Not having had any equipment prior to the day I went to an estate sale and scored most of the equipment that I could see in the video and more I never learned what lubricating oil(s) to use in my slab saws, a 24" Highland Park, and a 10" Highland Park slab saw, I'm unsure as to what brand of and type of oil I need to use in the the slab saws. Thanks.

What town or county is your dad in? Grayson county here about 25 miles north of Mammoth Cave NP. Nice work. Also try soaking the epoxy in acetone to soften the glue. It works on most. Nothing touched JB Weld though.

thanks. You can separate the stone from the stick by placing it in a microwave for 30 seconds and just melt the glue away. Or if the stone is tough enough it can be popped off by hand fairly easily and then scrape or polish any glue remains.
