Just picked up the playstation Move motion controller and made a video of my first impressions using it to play MAG.

  • I have a hunch that this has an inherent aiming disadvantage when compared to a gamepad, much like analog sticks are inferior to a mouse (due to its need for a dead zone and such). I notice that you need to move way to the edge of the screen to turn. I'm that sure this can be adjusted, but then you might lose a bit of the control that aiming to the actual part of the screen might give you, if that's how it works. Then again, all I've played was the Wii (on that, I don't need to elaborate).

  • @TheKFITTY You are somewhat correct, I find that it gives you an advantage for aiming but gives you a disadvantage with overall agility and moving around. You can adjust the deadzone to make this less of a problem, but like anything new it takes time to get good at. I find Im no better or worse with either controller now. Using the sharpshooter with the move makes things more entertaining to play but it is not as convenient or comfortable as a standard gamepad.

  • Does the motion control give you an aiming advantage over the players using a normal controller like a PC player using a mouse would have advantage playing against a console player?

  • @ACakaANTMAN I think the motion controller could give an aiming advantage for people that take the time to really master it. Mainly due to how responsive it is, But I also think that for the Masses it will be a huge disadvantage 'cause you really need to use it a lot to get good and until they design a good 2 handed gun controller addon it can get uncomfortable after long gaming sessions.

  • do u think that with like the battle rifle controller its way more fun?

  • @DrGangstaSeal If you mean the battle rifle accessory for the Playstation Move, then maybe. I think it could be very awesome if done correctly. Only problem with the accessories I've seen on the market now is that you don't have easy access to the buttons on the move controller itself, and you really need to be able to press all the buttons to play MAG effectively. If they come up with something that addresses this problem then Yes it would be cool and I would buy one fore sure.

  • I find the best motion for melee's is to shake the nunchuck. This way you still have control over your aiming. If they have customizable controls I highly suggest using that.

also if you make your Horozontal Deadzone smaller you can turn better.

  • With Move you have no Recoil

  • Can you still use Mag with only a move controller, NOT THE NAVIGATION CONTROLLER?

  • Dude, you NEED the Playstation Move Sharp Shooter. Without that, games for the move are dull and boring.

  • is there an aim assist?

  • @GamesOp that is bs Playstation had the kinect idea first with the playstation toy and I think it is a good buy cuz it is very accurate and is not a remake of the wii

  • hay dude make your det zone smaller.

  • I purchased the move, and I have to say that I was very impressed by the accuracy. I believe that, personally, mag would have been a better move title if utilized properly. Something seemed off when it came to functionality. Now that I've become adjusted though, I've noticed I am doing fairly decent. Whereas before I had a 0 kd at the start (I'm a noob at mag to begin with) I now have been getting .5 which is an improvement. Here's hoping kz3 is much better
