Hi, I love your string animation. I'm doing one of my own, but can't get the string to

do those tight "hairpin" angles, like on your stairway, or hold any sharp angles at all. Did you put something on your

string? like glue, or wax, to make it hold the shape of the images? If not, what type of string did you use? Thanks, and keep up the good work.--Meredith in Vermont, USA

We got the sharp angles by using pins poked through the surface.

It's all one single piece of string for every frame so it took a really long to do.

The animation was done in 2d first and then we roto'd in camera with string.

great work, but advertising belongs on TV not you-tube. we come here to get away from that!

ALL adds should be removed from you-tube, thats not what its about or what its for. the add factor just really dropped the quallity of your work and put me off looking at any of your other work.

if i want adds, i'll watch telly, thanks.

It's too bad that you feel that way. I totally understand your repulsion of advertising. I'm quite sensitive to it myself. Unfortunately, so far, they are the ones that have been paying for my rent and cherios.

I put a lot of work and personality into the string animation. When I look at ads, I think it's great if you don't see the product until the very end, so you can enjoy the beauty of the experience. Fortunately, I'm now able to work on some non-commercial projects (of my own) and create content that is really worth watching and I can be totally behind ethically and artistically.. but until they are output, I'm a consumer whore....

I am proud of the work I did for the sony bravia bunnies commercial. The whole commercial has nothing to do with televisions and there is just a little tag on the end of sony. Essentially they sponsored us to make something beautiful and a lot of fun.
