You don't need a new illustrated or politically correct version of the Bible. Judging by statistics, you have a perfectly good version at home. It's the word of God. All you need to do is pick it up and start reading.

  • Good message, well said. Thank you

  • Yes we do need new versions of scripture for the same reasons we need to read Chaucer or Beowolf in contemporary rather than the English in which they were originally penned.

Scripture is thousands of years old. Language is a dynamic and ever changing body of information--new versions and translations make ancient wisdom more accessable to contemporary minds.

  • Why is it that if you do a modern version of The Bible then you don´t get credits for it?? BUT if you show something with guns or violens THEN you get credits???

  • Why would any sane person reject an opportunity to spread the word to people who would not get it otherwise?

A small mind would - if the only reason is that it is illustrated in contemporary manner.

  • Lets all start reading. Very good commentary
