This race means so much to me, I had a friend we both was Mark fans, my friend had heath plombers and he passed away. This was the last race Mark won while he was still alive. I remember just how I feld the night he won this race. I could go for days talking about that night. brings a tear to my eye. GO MARK MARTIN

@justice2381 No. Mark has NEVER done a burnout, or any smokey celebration because he doesn't like tearing up all the hard work they guys at the shop put into the car and engine.

What won it for Mark was when he split Joe Nemechek and another car going into Turn 1 with Matt right on him. Helped him get away and hold him off. This was 8 years ago - Mark looks 8 years younger today than back then.

I remember this race. Jimmie Johnson was going to lose this race on fuel mileage, so he took out a lapped car to get a caution. Glad karma caught up to him when he missed his pit stall!
