it is funny that you don't know movies have some messages too. Don't obsess with the slow motion, visuals, .... Take a moment to think what they are saying.

The visuals were very good. But the story is so poor it's embarrassing. The only epic aspect of the reality of the Spartans was that 300 warriors actually won! Why does Hollywood twist our understanding of history? Same in Arthur, Kingdom of Heaven and everything else they've produced in this decade, at the very least.

I have 300 on blu ray, and it looks really grainy. I have to turn the sharpness way down, and when I watch Predator with Arnold on blu ray, it looks fine. Anyone have the same problem? I have a Samsung 40" LCD 1080p hooked up via HDMI to a Panasonic DMP-BD30 blu ray player. Iron Man looks incredible on the same equipment by the way. Any help would be appreciated.

300 is almost all green screen and with any movie filmmed on green screen, there will be more film grain that usual. This is NORMAL; no matter if they're visible or not, all movies have grain in them. It all depends on you. You either like film grain or not, but this is one of the things that people are noticing more and more as hi-def is becoming more popular.
