In 1992, Orcadian Cameron graduated from Napier University with a degree in international trade and languages. He taught English and French abroad before returning to Orkney to work as an export manager with a local seafood company, a career which he followed for nine years and which took him to the USA.

In this interview Cameron describes Big Brother as an experience which helped him develop his communicating and negotiating skills.

He talks about how after leaving Big Brother he used his experience with the media, working as a freelance actor and journalist. He decided to change to a career in primary teaching, and was accepted on to a distance learning teacher training course.

Cameron talks about how much he enjoys the challenge of teaching, and how he felt when after a successful trainee year he started work at North Walls Community School.
