The Fibonacci in Lateralus

The Fibonacci sequence in Tool's Lateralus. *3-31-10* Youtube just informed me that EMI owns this music and it's copyrighted, so if they decide to remove the audio, there's nothing I can do about it. Anyone else put off by the heart pumping sound at the beginning?

Listen to Reflection. In both tracklists, it's the eleventh song. At the end of the song you can hear the intro to Triad (track 12) fade in while the guitar riff from Reflection fades out. The very first note of Patient (track 3) is that final riff fading out. I'm sure there are other instances like this but this is what jumps out at me right now.

It's not about a 'smoother flow' so much as it's about reordering the setlist to change the overall feel/progression of the album.

The reordering, produces a new story, a new look at the album. And yes, it does flow better.
