i used to be the type of fan who tried to analyze tool songs but now i'm just too damn lazy to, lol. I rather just sit back, relax and enjoy the music they create. At 7:31 the guitar begins to play every tone high then low, then high again followed by low and continues. Ive always wondered if this also is a reference to the Fibonacci relation with the Golden Mean, as the sequence starts out lower then goes higher, then lower and continues but with each number comes closer to the Golden Mean. Or am I just over analyzing this?

um... the 16th step of the Fibonacci Sequence is 882... not 987..... I just counted it out....
