A predecessor to Future is Wild, taken from the book After Man by Dougal Dixon. Apparently patched together with 'new' footage as well as clips from various other documentaries, this Japanese show includes footage of stop-motion/puppet creatures as well as of Dixon himself.

I see the Horranes more like Leopards or Cheetahs rather than Lions. They're much slimmer and ldon't live in massive prides like the lions used to.
