The bubbling is from water turning to steam in the plaster. The plaster needs to be dried and baked to remove water and be safe to cast. And of course give a better casting. :)
you need a second sprue for the air to escape out of, its stupidly dangerous not to have two because the air trying to escape after being heated up can blow bits of hot metal out and burn people or set fire to things.
overall though, it's good. very instructional for small-scale DIY. 5 stars.

plaster cannot decipate heat & hence causes the metal to bubble out & that hat results in a bad casting
