The first one is a Muay Thai clinch drill and he refers to it as the 'K1 drill'.

As a rugby player and a wrestler Im pretty confident Coach Cron has been to some wrestling trainings. These are basic drills for wrestling and definitely make sense for improving scrumaging as well as other aspects of the game of rugby

this looks ALOT like the "control" drills my high school wrestling coach had us do after warm ups

good to see clinch control and pummelling in these training drills. Helps a lot when it comes to cardio and neck strengthening.
