Here we are. an error ocurred when we soldered the battery, we wanted a 7.4 500 li poly battery but we soldered a 2500 14.8 volts battery, and here is the result. The video stops when we have had a firmware unknown failure... The ESC mamba max stills works and the motor is still okey...
What was the Mah of the battery?

make a video if you go 6s with this car!

@brushless55 Sorry about my english, it's not such advanced. It's possible for a 100Amps ESC to handle 200Amps, in peak discharge. I mean continuous, is the most important. The reason why the esc warms is for ESC's impedance and the lost power in warming is W=R·I^2, Using less amps, you got less warming, so I prefeer to use 14.8v packs in my car, even I gonna test 22.2volts whenever I could.

The motor pulls the amps not the esc, and it is possible to pull way more amps than the 40A esc is rated to...
the reason the esc is warming up is because of the amount of amps is being pulled through the esc by the motor and near the limit of the esc
brushless55 2 years ago
@brushless55 Sure, the ESC's wastes 0.05A to 0.2A as much. If the motor is pulling near 40Amps continuous the esc's fets are pulling whatever they need and warming. For me, the limit of the esc is how many continuous amps it can drive to the motor without overwarming and that limit is near 40A, 37 for the mamba max with a fan
Imprez532 2 years ago
It's not the esc that pulls the amps! hello?
it is the motor that pulls the amps...
just because a esc says 40A that is not the limit the system can pull
brushless55 2 years ago
@brushless55
It's impossible for a small ESC to pull more than 40A. continuous, our hobby esc's for 1/10thscale are made to work near 30-35Amps and no more. However the instruction manual says 540Amps like novak's GTB... And sure it isn't possible. More important than how much power you have in your car is how much of it you can use .

max cont. of 38amps sounds more like it
brushless55 2 years ago
however, the maxximum continuous current I measured was 38Amps and the ESC was at 100ºC, mamba endurance.... XDDDDDDDDDDD

I measured with elogger peaks highters than 180 Amps

Serpent S400 my friend, good belts (:

hehe. i figured that. i mean what chassis?
vicfrom47 2 years ago
Those motors wont pull 120+ amps cont.
brushless55 2 years ago
neither novak nor LRP... however, novak made a better magnet that i didn't tested, if that magnet does not lose its magnetic power... Novak's winding is the best winding I've ever saw in comertial motors.

it's possible it is a 3.5 brushless at 4s lipo... I've been taking 1800 watts from a 6.5 speed passion brushless in a pro 10 car :) tat car flyed and made wheelies (: with a 11.1v zippy li-po
Imprez532 2 years ago
however I prefeer for 14.8v to use feigao's brushless or speed passion
