@lantoy100 Um...I think you replied to the wrong comment. I'm on the side that's defending JRA. JCojocaru is the one who says it makes Satan proud.
-
@ExtremeFaithInJesus what? this church makes satan proud? if the Christians will not shout in worshiping God the stones and the trees will shout for God...stop judging each other...
-
@sirdustinfsmith By all means, you go ahead and live according to the old testament. Go ahead, stone people. Why are you pointing at others of the Bible, yet fail to notice the point that dancing isn't mentioned once in the New Testament, especially in reference to Christ? Why didn't Christ do any of this? Seems you guys are putting others before Christ.
-
@JCojocaru "Then Miriam the prophet, Aaron’s sister, took a timbrel in her hand, and all the women followed her, with timbrels and dancing. " That is Exodus 15:20. I feel like a bunch of women dancing around with tambourines could be considered a "loud racket"...? But they do it to glorify God.

@BeTheAwakened It's not an opinion. The world itself would enjoy listening to this music. It's not about how load it is, but when the volume overshadows the lyrics, then you definitely have a problem. And comparing music to pork is horrible. Because God himself created pork for us to eat. God did not create bad Christian music for us to serve him with. It's not an opinion. You just don't like the narrow path. This type of music obviously isn't very narrow pathed and it's also worldly.
-
@JCojocaru Ok. well, I'm rather tired of this conversation and niether of us will change opinions so I see no further use in continuing it. Upbeat Worship music is not "conforming" just like eating pork isn't. This debate came from what your opinion of "loud racket" is, which honestly, is nothing more than an OPINION.
-
@BeTheAwakened You don't have to conform to the world to play skillfully. Skillfully and fancifully are 2 different things. And yes I am a musician. I don't have to be a musician to know what I'm talking about however.
-
@JCojocaru So the real argument is based around Psalms 33:3 and what "playing skillfully" really is??? Answer me something. Are you a musician???
-
@BeTheAwakened To conform to the world is to disobey scripture, which is sin. That song is still pretty worldly. The banging of drums and whatnot. My point was, FEW embrace it. I didn't say none do. I don't care what instruments are being played, banging them and making a loud racket isn't praising God
@JCojocaru What are you talking about? This church is not lukewarm. This church is burning for God! They give God their very best at worship time, always preach powerful messages, and most members of this church actually try hard to not just leave and forget what was taught, but to apply it to their lives! This church has led 70 people to salvation in one service before. I'm not mad at you for calling it lukewarm, but why do you say that?
