What do you mean by "Russia's return to latin america'? Venezuelans have voted time and again(over 60%) for Hugo Chavez, wich by the way is a nationalist -populist- not a communist- not even a marxist!
The latin american left is taking power thru democratic elections. Che wasn't russian; Bolivar, Zapata, Arbenz, Allende and Mariategui were all homegrown freedom fighters! READ MY FRIEND- READ!!!!!
