I started very early learning about shells and marine life. I lived on Guam and was NAUI certified with over 100 logged dives by the age of 12. I collect live shells and watched them grow. Amazing how much we learn having fun vs having to study. Although we had to learn what we could touch and what not ... sorry did not mean to take so long to reply to your comment above. I would enjoy seeing more of your videos. Phil

Simply because they are the rarest and most sought after cone shells in the world.

why so expensive?

Gloria maris is the expensive cone shell that I meant; around $ 1.000 per specimen

This clip features a Textile Cone ... very agressive and deadly. This is not a Geographis. I remember a time when a fisher man in the Philipines found 75 "Glory of the Seas" in one night. It shocked the value down to 1000. It used to be much higher.
