On Feb 27,2009 Nashville joined over 40 other cities across the nation to protest exorbitant government spending on so called "stimulus" packages that will bankrupt our country while doing nothing to really stimulate the economy.

Political speech is and should always be protected. While I do not agree with the homophobic, racist and generally backwards things Tea Party members say and believe, the 1st Amendment grants them that right. A lot of what the Tea Party proposes would set the US back a few steps from our already sub-standard position in the race of nations so I'm thankful that, while they may be loud, they're idiots and aren't taken seriously.

If you knew any thing about the civil rights movement then you would know that southern Dem. were conservatives, while northern Rep. were liberals.

John Kennedy, Robert Kennedy, Martin Luther King Jr, Lyndon B. Johnson were all liberals. George Wallace, Jesse Helms, Barry Goldwater, were all conservatives.

Pretend all you want that there are no facts in history, but I was there and I know whose side the conservatives were on.
