A school bus travelling across the Causeway from Riverview, onto the West Main Traffic Circle into Moncton, had to stop for traffic and was rear ended by a car around 2:25 P.M. this afternoon. Moncton Firefighters bent the door so Paramedics could get the female driver out of the car that was under the bus, lifting the bus a couple of inches off of the pavement. Luckily there were no other people inside of the car, there were long skid marks on the pavement from the vehicle before hitting the bus that had no children inside. Codiac R.C.M.P. had parts of the road blocked off coming from Riverview into Moncton and 1 lane coming around the traffic circle also, traffic was backed up in both directions. A tow truck was needed and road conditions were wet in places from rain this morning, but for the most part were dry. The woman was transported to hospital with arm pain. Video aired on CTV News.

  • I was a nurse at the hospital the woman was brought to, she has diabetes and her blood sugar had dropped, she was in an insulin reaction. The woman had had one earlier in the week but the hospital discharged her without running tests to verify if they should modify her dose. This situation was completely avoidable. such a shame.

  • @n12j34c56 thank you for the update

  • @fergusontea Well, either way, I don't really give a shit. I don't know who it is, nor do I care.

  • @wwwRODcom On the contrary, nurses are also bound by a confidentiality agreement, as are all people who work with personal records. Additionally, this woman's face is clearly visible and identifiable, as are the license plates on her car. Broadcasting a person's medical situation is a clear violation of the confidentiality agreement.

  • @fergusontea I think you are referring to "Doctor-patient" confidentiality. She said she was a nurse, and she didn't disclose any names or identify the woman, so I believe n12j34c56 is totally within her rights to have said what she said.

  • @n12j34c56 Diabetics going into shock at the wheel happens a lot!

  • @1996figureskater / well on this case if this was a medical issue i apologize and hope she's ok / but for those who we still see talking on the phone & texting SHAME ON YOU!!!!

  • "medical issues"? = Putting on her make up.

  • C103's web site says she was having a "medical issue" at the time.
