Tranmere did not deserve that the way they played that night. I was there in the Kop and i saw everything. we played harder, quicker and better. it might not have been Champions League football, but it was sure all hell champions league commitment, to quote Stuart Barlow.

Pitty none of you did, owell we're going back to L1, meh we should come stright back up...maybe beating someone in a play - off final. I don't know, you have to admit it was a good day out.

I had my back turned for most of the shoot out! I just couldn't look! My mam thought she seen me on telly but said she wasn't sure coz it was only from the back. I told her that was me!! Scoring the winning penalty couldn't have happened to a more true poolie!

to be honest, i was on the phone to my mate and when humphreys scored the winning penalty i was screaming down the phone and i was so happy after that!!!
