I remember this all, I was there in Surfers Paradise when the army were loading sand bags, the thing I remember the most was the cars being dumped on to the beach. I was living at Broadbeach at the time and I remember the entire street up to the gold coast highway was covered in sand and at the beachfront there was about a six foot drop from the bottom of the flight of stairs to the surf.
