@Zyeradyth that was a big thing i waned to know too! he speaks both in the movie the English comes later on... his English is good in the movie but OMG after during the Q&A you come to find that his English is painfully bad. or maybe not the fact that it is bad but that he wants to articulate him self the same as he would in Japanese but his English is not at the same level.

Thank you for the great review! I hope it gets a theatrical release, since I've been following it since '08 too and have been dying to see it, not only to support GACKT, but also to see the stunning visuals. I was happy to hear that GACKT does a good job with the acting, even if others don't like the movie, if GACKT impresses there will be a buzz about him.
The other festival "Bunraku" will be premiereing at is Fantastic Fest in Austin, TX, Sept. 23-30. ^^

OMFG, that movie was such trash. It's story was weak, ham fisted acting and terrible dialogue. I guess it is great if you like anime, because it makes as much sense as one. Sure the set and lighting design was interesting, but that doesn't mean that it is a good movie. Look at Star Wars Prequels, sure visually they were compelling. Yet, the story was terrible, characters were weak and had horrible pacing.

@MitsukoXBentley Nervousness was probably a huge aspect as well...he still gets nervous in interviews and such. Add a foreign language on top of that...scary.

@DrunkenGodMode he was amazing in the movie! it was the Q&A after the movie where it was a little bad and before the movie with all the press to. that is why there where almost no interviews with him. but he has mentioned studying English again so i think he really wants to be able to speak it.

Hey do you know what it's going to be rated? I just saw a site that said it was R and that really makes me depressed cuz of my age, but I hope that site lied XD

@SoskoVideos my guess is that it is rated R but i could be wrong.... a official rating will come out soon as Bunraku has a 2011 release. but i really think it will be rated R
