  • this is an amazing film. As the mother of an Air Force officer, I have learned how much responsibility the military gives to our fighting forces. Thank you all for your service. Thank you Gen. Welsh and the Air Force Academy for allowing us to see this.

  • Steve Jobs has nothing...NOTHING, on General Welsh as a speaker and a motivator. This speech is outstanding! I've always been proud of my son, an United States Air Force Officer but this certainly helps me to understand why.

  • "Inspirational, at a time when people needed it." There is nothing more meaningful that I could hear right now, and there is nothing that could be more true about our nation right now. The men and women who humbly serve our nation set an inviolable example of what we should all aspire to be. Our nation needs inspiration. We are more divided, self-concerned, and at risk than at any other time since the Civil War. We need leaders committed to their mission and our nation.

    Who will step up?

  • @jaketanmac Why do people like you have the need to put one person down in an attempt to praise someone else? Gen Welsh is a great speaker and motivator for the military and Jobs was a great speaker/motivator when it came to computer innovation. Your comment is biased at best and idiotic at worst.

  • I had the privilege of attending the Air Force Academy while General Welsh was the Commandant of Cadets. I remember him more vividly that any other senior commander I have ever met. He leaves an indelible impression on anyone who happens to cross paths with him because they (rightfully) feel like he cares. The Air Force needs more people with the qualities General Welsh embodies and describes. I can't wait to see the successes that grow out of the commitment of a truly selfless leader.

  • Amazing

  • A great American and an integral part of the fabric of our military and our country. take heed youth out there - this is what you should aspire to be!
