This was a great show....its hilarious when you have the mystery guest try to disguise their voice and give funny answers. Too bad there isn't anything like this now a days.

This is my favorite one of these WML Mystery Guest spots followed closely by Desi Arnaz & Lucille Ball together then Ernie Kovacs where he gives away who he is to Dorothy Kilgallen (her scream of recognition is just too funny). But Arlene's reactions here are just the best. Although, I do also love Dorothy's reaction to Steve's answer to her question of has he ever been the hero of a love story and he says 'not in a movie'.

@IEnjoyHippies I would have loved to see her as a mystery guest while her husband was on the panel. Now that would have been hilarious!

Was Arlene ever a mistery guest? I would love to see that!

@KennySherman because of the names of the sponsers. Remington (electric shavers) and "Stopette" whose slogan included "poof" and perspiration is gone

You see the next guest when Steve goes to join the panel - is that next segment available?

I do adore Arlene's reaction to identifying Steve as the mystery guest! I would love to see the next challenger with 5 on the panel! :-)

"Do you have some outstanding characteristics that makes you immediately recognizable to all and every?"
"I suppose I do, yes. It's my voice!"
;D Oh it's hilarious! I don't know how many times I've seen this!

I bet at least half the YouTubers watching this clip when Peter Lind Hayes asked Mr. Allen "Are you a man of many talents" wanted to shout at the monitor "Yes!"

Arlene Francis is too much!!!
Her reaction when she finally guessed it was Steve was hysterical!
Thanks for this great clip!
'Have you ever been the hero of a lovestory?'
-'Not in a movie!'
