One can't really compare versions of the songs that are a decade apart. Aesthetics change, moods change, substances change, etc. The original performed live was awesome, and I saw that more than a few times, but this is a competent cover with a different, but nice, vibe. I think it honors the original and is also its own thing. It is what it is. Miss Karl.
They played this as part of their encore at The Duchess Of York in Leeds many years ago. Got Dean's autograph too. Fantastic night.

Not even close to the original. The band is decent, though they play it too fast for my taste. The vocals blow.
