Why can't the other 96 percent be more sensible? Are you really asking that? The answer is simple: fear and ignorance. The fear is influenced by religion, society and the parents and peers (about what other people think, basically, and being judged), and ignorance from the lack of effective sexual education. Kids in school get like what... one or two classes? You watch a video and snicker to your chums about the word 'placenta.' Our youth needs much more than that.

you make fair points, but incest, rape etc is meant to be 4 per cent out of 100, so why aren't the other 96 per cent more sensible, especially in the days we live in, i mean, you sleep with some one on a one night stand, one of the many reason you would choose abortion, should you not be more worried about stds?

Well, first off - the line is drawn by the woman, of course. One abortion should be enough to make someone more responsible about their body and what it means to get pregnant, or if it was an abortion to ease the mental anguish of a rape-pregnancy, or an incest pregnancy. More than one? I don't know. Again, it's a touchy subject, obviously, but I think numbers speak for themselves. If a woman is having multiple abortions, something is wrong with that individual's state of mind, I would think.
i agree with you 100%

you're wlecome. you obviously consider women to be equal. not like those humanioids programmed by the church who can't think for themselves. press their tummies and they will repeat...repeat..repeat......

Sometimes I hold women as higher in value... women typically have more respect for life, as they are the bearers of life. Women typically do not start wars, or use bombs as argumentation. Women don't typically get as easily riled-up to murderous rage as men do. It happens, but, it seems that women get a bad rap for being 'too emotional' when... it may be that men aren't emotional enough. Hard to say. That women's study class really changed my binary view on gender relations... for the better.

One abortion is okay, but four is bad? Where would you draw the line?

Where would I draw the line? I'm not a woman. I don't know. If I were, however (and that would make me one ugly woman!), I would only have an abortion if the child would be deformed, or if the child was a product of rape or incest, or... immaculate conception. But that's just me. I don't think women should be forced to have a child, or be forced to abort one. I think the force should come from education to ensure that the woman knows the consequences, and has the help she needs, regardless.
