  • what is the difference to the 2011 models? 7.2 FX for instance?

I am stuck between Trek 7.2 FX and Giant Seek 4, which is better and why? both around 4000 kr here in Sweden. Thanx in advance.

  • @73myousry Minor spec differences account for most of the changes. Our bike archive has the 2011 info available.

  • why did you discontinue the 7.9FX? makes no sense.

  • @JogBird We weren't selling quite enough of them to keep it in the line for 2012. If you'd like something similar, an H3 geometry Madone can be swapped over to flat bars very easily by your local Trek retailer.

  • Why do some of the FX bikes say made in Taiwan on them and my 12' 7.3 says made in China?

  • Hope to get an FX for my next Trek bike!!!

  • @markmartel actually, ive had a 2011 fx7.9 since the summer.. great bike

  • @JogBird I have a 7.9FX and absolutely love it. I disagree with Trek's suggestion on retrofitting a Madone, if you want to use the bike for commuting and miscellaneous stuff that would include locking it up. The FX bikes have thicker-walled tubes that would be more durable when getting knocked around. The Madone is a workout road bike. There's a reason it's not made with an upright geometry. If you want a 7.9FX, try to find a used one. IMO

  • 2011 7.3fx is my favorite bike I ever owned

  • @trekbikesusa thanks. i actually have a 2011 7.9fx. its too bad they werent selling well. i guess for that money, people were just going for the madones. all the high end hybrids are being dropped or decontented by the other manufacturers.
