Flight Simulator X - Night Flight - REX

Watch in HD! Flying out of downtown Kansas City in a Carenado 182 at night. I purchased Real Environment Extreme (REX) a few months ago, but haven't really done any videos with it. This shows some of the enhanced lighting and moon effect from REX.

WOW!!! lol thats all i have to say, 5/5 and subscribed :). Quick question.. Do you also have UTX installed? because those ground lights look like the ones i have see for UT in fs9...Also is the 8gb ram helping you out with FPS because i'm think of upgrading to faster ram but not sure if i should get more, i have 4gb ocz 800 currently... That aircraft looks amazing too lol

Yes, I have UTX and GEX installed. In terms of the 8GB of RAM, no it doesn't make a difference on the fps. Roughly at 3GB of RAM is where FSX will see fps improvement, beyond that not so much. Also keep in mind, unless you're using a 64-bit version of Windows, it won't see anything over 3GB of RAM. Going to 8GB and 64-bit Windows did definitely solve the out of memory errors I would get on roughly 25% of my flights.

amazing how can your comp withstand an overclocking to 3.8, wouldnt it just melt?

Multiple case fans and a big Zalman cpu cooler. Though 3.8 is not all that much. I'm using a E8500 which comes clocked at 3.16Ghz from the factory.

Amazing, that was the best graphics that ever saw for a flight simulator especially at night. Wow, that's a lot of memory you have there.
