Goth - One who finds beauty in dark places... 'nuff said

Goth is about clubbing, dressing up, fashion and having fun. Its not a religon, sorrow or suffering. The goth scenes origins were kid clubbers trannies in a club called the Batcave London. Katherine Hamlet in her fashion collections of 1984/1985 used goth models for adverts. They came from Glam,New Romantics and Post Punk. Iggy Pop and Nico. Bowie and Gotham City. Its about having fun.

@8765425676543 So I guess that makes Black Metal, Death Metal, and Thrash Metal gothic oh wait..you really no nothing about Gothic music.
-
@ministeroffire1 Stop trolling, please. I am a christian goth. How does our love of darker things make us bad? Didn't God create night and say it was good? Is an acceptance of death as a part of life a bad thing when you believe that true happiness only comes in heaven after death? You fear us because you don't understand us. Acting better than others is not what God wants.

Goth is about questioning and seeing the faultiness of modern society. This may seem very pesimistic to others who aren't goth, but gothic people want to tear loose from all things that bind normal people to their society to the greatest extent possible. It is actually also a very beautiful thing. When people see goths having their food or a festival on the graveyard, it is not because we want to be closer to the dead, but because we want to learn more about the history of a place. Morbid or not

This isn't even remotely Goth. This is metal. Good Goth, people! These are completely different genres.
Comparing the cultures between these two could be likened to an American judging Arab culture by observing Indians. It's just plain idiotic.
