He left Christianity because he didn't know Jesus and his deeds were evil. Jesus said so in John 3:19-20. He spoke very plainly.
So, Yusha or Jesus is a liar. Since Yusha is a sinner and Jesus rose from the dead, appeared to me and testified to me, I'll trust Jesus.
