I Know how he did it:
a 3:49 or so, you hear draining. That means that there's a Filter below the tank. When its covered, the Tank is lowered so he can breathe and work on the straighjacket.
One part of the Tank is with magnets so it could easily open and close. They drain the Water Completely to let him out.
