  • Thank you so much! This is EXACTLY what I have been looking for to help make my playing more interesting. Great lessson AND sound. I will be checking out your other videos as well.

I can see that you are playing a Suhr (at least I think so) but what is your amp? Again, what a great sound, and thanks.

  • @ManMountainMike Yeah, a Suhr Classic. I used a Line 6 POD HD500 for the guitar tone, straight into the computer via USB. See the video description for link to this preset.

  • V60 or V60LP pickups?

  • this reminds me of Yellow ledbetter of pearl jam.. awesome.. truly love this style of playing guitar

  • Yeah great lesson!

  • Muchas gracias por el video! muy facil de aprender y suena estupendo!

  • Great stuff Robert. I have always found it helpful ( at least, for me ) to find the source or inspiration for a lick or a style. In this case, it occurs to me that Jimi cut his teeth playing behind many soul greats and picking stuff up. You will find loads of great examples of this style in old soul stuff and even gospel music. Also; maybe you could do some on Jimi's chord voicings that include the use of the thumb..just a thought. Thanks man. Keep on sharing and keeping this stuff alive!!

  • -Let me know what you think

    I THINK YOU'RE AWEDOME SIR

  • @Willfurd123 Or Another Song, Not Sure Which

  • John Mayer used that riff in slow dancing in a burnin room
