When I play this on the Guild the strings ring out. I can't make them pop quite the same way but I love playing this archtop guitar. This is a tune I wrote for Daniel who is hanging his hat in Eugene Oregon

  • very nice strumming technique..i luv the tone on your guitar too! wonderful playing. you're incredibly skilled..best wishes dear friend :) ~jadee

  • Hey thanks Jadee!

    Peace :~)

  • Very nice, man.

Does that Silvertone have a floating bridge or is it fixed? I love my old Silvertone archtop, but the damn floating bridge drives me crazy (goes wildly out of tune every third chord it seems).

Of course, I just tell people I tuned it up or down for effect. :))

Also, have you ever tried Thomastik-Infeld strings? Especially the flatwounds? I think they're amazing.

  • Hey Bob, thanks! I love this guitar also, Yes the bridge floats...the RH% changes alot here so I adjust all the time. She doesn't slip out of tune. I haven't tried those strings...I'll hook up a set this week and try them? Thanks man

    Peace

  • Great sounding guitar and the fret seems playable too.

When you use it on an amplifier do you then also use the same coated strings or do you use electric strings?

  • Thanks fridrikur,

This guitar is acoustic only (Im using a mic just out of camera view). I play my Martin with the M1a through the amp. Check out my clip on the install of it and let me know what you think...

    Peace

  • I love your style.

    Is this folk guitar playing?

I play mostly blues, but I really wanna start playing this sort of music as well.
