WE - Lanvin - Alber Albaz

My selection of favorite cuts from the first season of WORLD EXCLUSIVE, on which I was a director and supervising editor. One of our many redeeming qualities was to try to recreate the 'feel' of the actual shows.

I cannot remember exactly who cut what, here, but I can see a few signatures... Lanvin's opening is vintage Pindan, the Closing segment is typical Kresna, and I know Hendra worked on the slow part. Of all the things I did teach them during our year together, flair and courage weren't among them.

Blessed as we were with full access to the EMI catalogue you'd think the music was easy. Not so... We spared nothing when it came to finding the exact music of the show. It was truly imperative when it came to reporting the original vision behind the collection. One example where this worked out particularly well was the two segments we did on Lanvin that you can see in this clip.

We get to know designer Alber Albaz who, with his response about the breaking economic crisis, Alber Albaz became one of my favorite fashion personalities: "This time fake will not resist."
