3. the chareidim dont engage in dialogue. (false) Tell that to organizations such as Aish Hatorah, Ohr Samayach, Lev' Lachim, all dedicated to jewish outreach. And to the thousands of newly observant who were somehow convinced of a drastic lifestyle change to Torah judaism 4. Being a holocaust survivor inoculates you from criticism. (partially true) Obviously we cant fathom what they went through but what of the countless survivors who kept the faith in Israel, Brooklyn and elsewhere.
1. It claims Israel's founders were secular. (partially true) though the leadership and majority of the army were secular there were large numbers of religious fighters and prior to the arrival of secular zionists there was a pre-existing community until 1914 comprising of almost exclusively chareidi jews. 2. We want control the state. (false) we want to get close to god peacefully. the protests shown (though not my style) are oft against gay marches in orthodox enclaves and exhuming graves.
As a chareidi jew i understand that tommy lapid has seen a lot and we must understand his views origins. But lets be clear he is completely wrong and the spiteful terminology he uses is reminiscent of anti-semitic canards. I dont understand what he believes Judaism is, for if its a "ethnic" identity why doesnt he "move to winsconsin". Also in the next post ill point out factually incorrect parts of this segment.
all arab countrys suffer from the same internal divisive forces. the difference between israel and the arabs is the arab countrys are able to fool there people into beleiving all ther problems have been caused by Israel. witout israel to blame the arab sects would be at constant war with each other.
