Drag it through some mud, then fire it a few times. Then I'll be impressed.

what kind of scope is that on your 556?

@trapstar918420 shut up pussy you have no say in politics or gun ownership, people of the gun should respect one another and give them encouragement and brotherhood but look at your self...picking fun on someone who is doing more with their life, serving their country and your on his case for working for what he wants? purely pathetic in my eyes and im sure alot of others.

looks like an amazing rifle, saving up for one, just hoping to get it before, god forbid, it gets pulled of the market with so many gun control freaks in office. so does the piston make it more reliable than the ARs and do you have to clean it as often.

@northwestmike Funny, thats exactly how I shoot my gun. I have a Smith & Wesson Mp-15A model, and I grab the magwell because I like the feeling of my elbows being tucked into my side. If I grab the upper, then my elbow sticks out and makes it feel funny. Nice gun. My buddy is going to get his sometime this week.
dude, you appearently got some cool video capability, why dont you do more with it. Change the gas settings, shoot it in "single shot" mode with the gas selector, explain the ammo you are firing, what grain bullets, etc.........damn, you could have a nive vid explaining this gun.

@MicrosoulV3 Yeah, I actually didn't intend for this video to be so popular. LOL! I was just excited that I had just picked the rifle up and was taking it out for the first time. I made a slightly better video (see the video replies).

How much did you pay for it? I heard a lot of negativity about its MSRP.

I honestly forget what I paid, but it was probably $1,700-1,800. It's totally worth it. There are cheaper ARs, but none that are piston-driven for less in-chamber fouling and increased reliability. This rifle also came with very nice removable picatinny rail sights, three picatinny rails, three high-capacity magazines, and a durable soft-sided case. I really think it's a good deal.

@northwestmike Studies show the increased in reliability is only about 0.2 - 0.8% with gas piston systems. What you're actually getting is easier maintenance and longer periods between those maintenance. At any rate that's a very good rifle and I wan't one.

@adobo777 Thanks for the info. In the months following this video, I actually sold this rife and upgraded to a DPMS .308 AR variant. The Ruger was great, but I wanted the more solid and consistent ballistics from a .308. After shooting the Ruger quite a bit, I don't think the gas piston system is necessary in an AR and it ads a lot of weight.
