Ever so often, despite my better judgment, suppressing the feeling I am wasting my time and knowing I will have to sit through half-baked doctrinal rhetoric usually of the antinomian, anti-Semitic sort which obviously I do not agree with or adhere to, despite feeling as uncomfortable as a black man at a KKK rally, in an attempt to possibly generate interest in the Christian church regarding the Hebraic Roots of the faith and introduce to them the relevance and applicability of Torah and the Jewish Messiah Yeshua, I go to a protestant Christian church. On one such occasion I was shocked and disgusted to find out that they recite and believe in what is called the Apostles Creed.

I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

Okay, pretty much most of this I can agree with and some stuff is petty and I can over look, but I come to s screeching halt with a Oh Hell NO! in my Spirit when they profess belief and allegiance to the holy catholic Church. Yes, I know, I have had a minister explain to me that catholic is not capitalized and therefore the original meaning is universal. Okay Then why dont you say universal instead of catholic!? My wife turned to me and asked Is the Wesleyans affiliated with the Catholic Church? Apparently so. I sarcastically replied. How can a protestant Christian church say and agree with this!? Apparently the church is full of sheeple instead of people not willing or to ignorant to stand up, question and protest this. Most anyone who come in off the street and heard this creed with the allegiance to the holy catholic church would assume they were affiliated with the Popes, Monks and Nuns! The apple doesnt fall far from the tree folks. Sure, they (protestant Christianity) may not deify, idolize or pray to Mary and or Saints, their ministers may be monogamous and wear a tie instead of a collar, but they still celebrate Christmas, Easter, take communion and some of them still through this so-called creed pledge belief and allegiance to the catholic church.

This creed in question was not created, recited nor taught by the original 12 Apostles, nor their talmidim. It was an invention of the church fathers possibly from the second or third century, but more likely post-Nicene Creed in the early 4th Century AD and only by a legend of the 6th century is it said that the Apostles created it at Pentecost in Acts.
