  • is there a cover / sleeve for this great record?

  • No, these old 78's only came with a paper sleeve to protect the record. There were no pictures or liner notes.

  • And, the music goes round and round.

  • anna8elvis , Don't know exactly how old it is. It's German built and I think it's late 50's or early 60's.

  • bluenote335, Thank you for checking in !

  • mikeytyas , My pleasure, thanks for checking in.

  • its sad to think how many of these great old records have gotten broken by careless people or thrown out. :(

  • I am up in my years but never knew Jimmie Rodgers and I mean the first Jimmie Rodgers. I am sure glad that I came to hear these recordings before I die. This man was the "Father of Country". A Classic country bard from the `ol days when life was hard but a lot simpler. Amen! God has blessed us with such talent.

  • So nostalgic but still the sweetest sound. I just love the music that led us to where we are now.

  • One of my favorites by Jimmie Rodgers. It kinda came back to me after Katrina, along with a few Duke Ellington tunes. Man, this is the music.

  • That is amazing. Good folk music and to see how far technology has come.
