Plasma in KDE 4.1-alpha1-something

In this video I demonstrate some of the Plasma features new in KDE 4.1 alpha 1. Not everything, of course, but I did include the beginnings of the zooming interface ;-)

Well... it has to do with the codec and things like that... I wish you could remember.

Just used qt-RecordMyDesktop without much fiddling with the settings... Only lowered framerate & disabled sound, I think.

If Linux dropps to just one version, then i will stop using linux. Linux!=Ubuntu. I love linux because it is as it is.

Hmmm, you know that there is a widget to have a folder view set to the desktop. The desktop being a container of just icons I imagine, will be a thing of the past. KDE has just introduced (a very early version(kde4)) that really changes the way teh desktop is viewed. Now you can have virtual folders for your desktop icons, your downloads, your music, pictures, documents, all in different corners of the same workspace.

You can have other things like weather also.

Interesting... GTK-recordmydesktop doesn't work. :( I'm going to switch to KDE 4.1 soon. When Kubuntu releases 8.10.
