Rather than show the level of the helmet using the ½ finger method. It is better to teach (especially to kids) that they should be able to see the edge of their helmet if they look up when it is on their head.
Also, note that ALL strap adjustments should be made with the helmet off the head and not hanging by the straps when adjustments are made.
