הזרוע הצבאית של החמאס פירסמה היום (ראשון) סרטון תעמולה המיועד ל"חברה הציונית" על גלעד שליט. בסרטון, שנמשך כ-3 דקות, נראה אביו של החייל החטוף, נועם שליט, מתעורר מסיוט לפיו הצלב האדום מחזיר את גופת בנו בארון. בסרט מזהיר החמאס את החברה הישראלית כי גורלו של גלעד שליט עלול להיות כגורלו של הנווט השבוי רון ארד.

ממשרד ראש הממשלה נמסר בתגובה לפרסום הסרטון כי זוהי "פעולה שפלה" של החמאס שנועדה לאפשר לארגון לחמוק מקבלת החלטה בנוגע לעסקת שחרור האסירים.

נועם שליט נראה בסרט כשהוא מסתובב ברחובות בעוד 20 שנה, נושא את תמונת בנו. ברקע נשמע קולו של גלעד מקלטת הוידיאו שהועברה לישראל בעסקת הקלטת, ונראים שלטי חוצות של מנהיגי ישראל השונים שהבטיחו להביא לשחרורו של גלעד. בהמשך הסרט נכתב כי העסקה סוף סוף נחתמת, אלא שאז מקבל נועם את גופת בנו בארון. ברגע זה הוא מתעורר מהסיוט, ועל המסך נכתב "עדיין יש תקווה".
"Our message is clear, and that is that Shalit's case must end with the release of our prisoners. Otherwise, he may end up like the missing Ron Arad," a Hamas source said,
"If the Israelis want Shalit to get released safe and sound, their government should pay the price by releasing Palestinian prisoners,"

"If the Israeli government rejects the Palestinian resistance demands, Israel will be obliged to release the Palestinian prisoners sooner or later with heavier prices...the prisoners will be released anyway," Hamas said.

An entire year has passed with me in jail and still my health condition is deteriorating and I need extensive hospitalisation.
I am sorry for the lack of interest by the Israeli government and the army in my case and in the demands of Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades.
It is clear that they must accede to these demands in order that I may be released from jail.
Especially as I was involved in a military operation under orders and I was not a drugs dealer.
Just as I have parents, a mother and a father, the thousands of Palestinian detainees also have mothers and fathers who must have their sons returned.
I have great faith in my government that it will take more of an interest in me and will answer the demands of the mujahideen.
