I really enjoyed this 4 part Ohio road trip. Not knowing where you were going next was especially fun. The SUNDANCE KID was nice, and, I liked the interview with the snack bar girl where you could see a screen in the background. The intermission music was a nice touch. I wish there was a part 5, I've been sitting here for 40 minutes and now I have to go to work. Oh well. Great video, if they gave awards for posting gems like this epic you'd be sure to win! 4 Stars!

Great video! Can't wait to see more Ohio drive ins if that wasn't your only trip. Also, how about a trip to Texas drive ins? Just an idea.
Keep the memories alive!

You are probably correct. However, there WAS a BUTCH CASSIDY drive in some where in the area. In the OHIO ROAD TRIP you can see the snack bar trailer with the name BUTCH CASSIDY on it. The manager of the SUNDANCE KID told us it came from the BUTCH CASSIDY drive in. Does anyone know where it was located. I can't see any reason for him to fudge the story, so, it MUST have existed somewhere. Or, perhaps he was pulling my leg?

Yes, there was a BUTCH CASSIDY drive in, but, I don't know which one opened first.

Was there a Butch Cassidy drive in in Toledo? Did the SUNDANCE open after or before the Robert Redford / Paul newman movie?

I commented.

I think my favorite part might be 3 also, a lot of variety. Another cool posting is by monster4josh, a multi part tribute to drive ins worth clicking on!
I don't know of a Butch Cassidy drive-in in Toledo. The one's I know of were the Toledo, Telegraph, Miracle Mile, Franklin Park, Jesse James and Sundance Kid. The Sundance was originally named the Parkside Drive-In. The name change occurred sometime after 1983, not sure exactly what year. There's some great shots of the original Parkside/Sundance marquee at americanclassicimages (dot com)
