I ad that ran on CNN on there airport network that tell the untruth that smaller GA jets just cut in front of commercial jets but only pay a 5th of the taxes. This is untrue and you the airline passenger are paying those taxes not the airline. Please call you representatives and ask them not to support user fees in the FAA

  • This is just horrible. General Aviation is needed in rural areas where any other forms of transportation is hard to reach. These user fees would make it almost impossible to reach that population. The reason that commercial airlines are delay are due to their own scheduling and weather.

  • This is horrible propaganda. This video says that GA is the cause of the commercial airliners being late. Weather is the cause of over 70% of late flights. The second would be that commercial airlines scheduling is off and that they 'clog' themselves.

  • I personally have to wonder, how many of you people who are whining moaning and bitching at this 'commercial', are actually employed by, or have been employed by an Airline, or GA vendor/worker. Because half the crap that's being spouted here is as wrong as what you are attempting to complain about.

  • I find this funny because a larger percentage of these 'corporate' jets are medevac flights rushing people to treatment centres that take too long to go by ground.

  • I wasn't aware that 1950's technology was called a runway. you know the real limiting factor on how many departures and arrivals can get off in a specified period of time.

  • GA has practically ZERO impact on the airlines and their schedule problems. They create most of them themselves by scheduling too many flights at any given time than the airport can handle. Corporate aircraft don't fly into JFK, ORD, ATL, etc- they use reliever airports.

Not to mention the fact, that most have no idea that GA encompasses MUCH more than "rich guys flying expensive toys."

  • piss on smartskies

  • so this is from a news station.

im not suprised, since when does the news get anything right

last time i checked most airports where useing up to date technology. and the airlines had priority, exept over airships and aircraft in distress

    this is bull crap.

no body belive this as it comes from some one who know nothing about aviation. im not talking about the guy who posted this, im mean the dipshit who orignally made it.

  • This is total bravo-sierra. Airlines have so many delays is due to too many departures being booked at popular (rush hour) times more than ATC can handle on the given runways. The other reason there are delays is weather related in fact it's more so the cause than anything else. You can't just jump in a plane and go like you can your car, you must take into account wind speed and direction, visibility, and adverse conditions. Pilots know this, average joes who fly coach don't know jack!

  • they do but the landing fees are so high that only movie starts do it
