These poor sweet animals, trapped in these ridiculous bodies.

The Leavitt bulldog is the closest modern dog to the regency period bulldog, in phenotype, and standard. Google: "Leavitt bulldog association". Healthy bulldogs identical to the 1830's dogs, with a modern more tame temperament. Great with children, and bulldogs that are actually good for protection, and working.

No wonder that crazy bitch in the red dress is a dog judge, it's the only way she's ever going to have a pair of balls in her hands! No man will ever go near her!

@brocolims There are breeders just as you have described, but that's not the issue here. The KC are supporting those that don't do any of those processes you have just described, and will quite happily register a dog which is extremely ill, not regarding the fact that these illnesses will be passed on through its pups. That's the problem.

@adamrichie2002 , probably all she gets to touch.

@nikigurl08 , defining a breed by a characteristic that isn't actually inherent to the breed is idiotic behaviour, if you ask me.

Looking at Nigel Luxmore-Ball and Michael Errey lets you know that the reason inbreading is natural for them is because that is how their families reproduce.
I disagree mummygoochie. This program in fact does point out that some breeders are doing their best. What PDE does show is the leadership of the KC publicly defending questionable breeding practices and rejecting the idea of required health standards. People are winning ribbons with dogs known to be unhealthy - unchallenged! THAT IS THE REAL ISSUE HERE. The public will have difficulty deciphering good breeder from bad as long as the KC continue to harbour the bad breeders.
