Son hooked on to a monster flathead using soft plastics fishing the top lake at Mallacoota.. it was bloody impressive in size. Line snapped just as he got it in to the shore line.. we tried to get more on camera and thought we had been successful but watching the footage it seems my heavy foot work had stirred up the sand and made the water murky. Another elusive monster of the deep - "the one that got away!"

wow bad luck matee , im 13 and hooked onto a reall monster to about 110cm and lost it about 1m away from the shorline, on a squidgy soft plastics , uhmm i started crying lol :) haha bad luck always next time mate
