PharmedOut (http://www.pharmedout.org) is an independent, publicly funded project that empowers physicians to identify and counter inappropriate pharmaceutical promotion practices. Dr. Adriane Fugh-Berman is the principal investigator for Pharmedout, which is funded through the Attorney General Consumer and Prescriber Education grant program.

Smart docs are brainwashed by cute and dumb drug reps. The problem is not FDA regulation, but how drug reps misrepresent their drugs including off label promotion. Most of them don't even know the chemicals' name of the bottle. Their most purpose is to learn you and become "fun friends" with you so you can feel easy and prescribe their drugs even of label. Sodas are not life threatening, medicine is!

She contends that the industry in "inventing" diseases, and lists overactive bladder as one of them. Go seek out a urologist and ask them if overactive bladder is a real condition. Again, this is 100% rubbish.

This is pure unadulterated rubbish. The drug industry does far more good, than bad. It is baffling why you would attack an industry that is bringing life saving compounds to market.
