This is skeletal - literally

sorry but I don't think richard looks that great either. he was also skinny and sooooo serious, no humour whatsoever. mygawd! what went on in their childhood?
-
when you cross your legs and both feet touch the floor, there's a problem. duh.

She looks terrible. Even the interviewer should have told her something looked wrong.
-
You know whats really tragic too; that even if she lived and got healthy again she probably wouldn't have looked her natural age or just natural self. The early 70s she was so beautiful and cute, and Its sad we never got to see her the way she should have naturally looked in the later 70s.

I remember her so well. I was a fan of the Carpenters in their earlier years. They were a bit too pop-ish for me as I got older, but I always liked them. I clearly remember turning the morning news on as I was getting ready to go to school and the announcement of her death. I was a senior in high school that year. First it was Elvis, then John Lennon, then Karen.

Karen passed but the songs are immortal

Omg...she looks emaciated here. SO sad. She was beautiful and smart, and obviously SO talented. This was painful to watch. :/

you could tell he was very protective of his sister. very nice.

There was an interview on the radio with Richard Carpenter recently I was told by my landlord. I didn't catch it but I will find more about the details. I plan to have a Karen Carpenter dedication day set up on the 4th and play nothing but Carpenter's music. RIP Karen, We miss you!
@louise4053 give the poor guy a break ,, he is a genius in his own right ,,, they would never had made it without his mastering of production and harmony's

If she were my sister, she wouldn't of been on television like this.
