  • Dexter is the shit... Fuck all the haters. Eric is the shit...

  • Eric is one of the great tenor voices of our time. I first heard him in Charles Earland's band, and he burned all night long. Later on I had an opportunity to perform with him, and he is an amazing musician, and a really nice guy. Lick based player?? Eric is creative, with a fire in his playing that is rare indeed. As for mr jazzguitar00 below, I'd love to hear him smoke your butt some time! Stop the hate. This world is a better place because Eric and his music is in it!

  • he's amazinggg <3

  • I was at the same jazz fest playing.. he was fantastic

  • haha, im 17 and we are playing this in class, and wow, i can see how much I suck at tenor sax, lol

  • I saw Eric at a small jazz festival in Topeka KS 9 years ago. It was an amazing concert, and I was shocked that more people weren't there. (it was a free concert)

  • I saw this same band on a different night at the AQ and I got to meet Eric and he signed a copy of his CD/DVD. Amazing night.

  • I've made an earnest attempt to get into Eric Alexander's music, I got some CDs and watched some CDs, he sounds like too much of a lick based player, there is not feeling of spontaneity(Sp?) in his playing, he doesn't take any risks.

  • I used to be sooo into Eric's playing. I even met him. I still like his playing, but I think that Chris Potter could totally destroy him. Still, I love his tone...it sounds so much like Dexter, except not flat ;)
