Good point about the Wyden-Bennett thing. I hadn't heard of that bill. Thanks for pointing that out to me. As for Romney saying he was glad Obama was copying Romneycare, he was referring to the part of the "exchange" within Romneycare. He wasn't talking about the entire plan and that was well before the full details of Obamacare were known. But like you said... I'll have to look into Wyden-Bennett a bit more. Thanks.

Did he not endorse Wyden-Bennett on his Meet the Press interview? Did he not say on the Early Show that he is glad that Obama is copying Romneycare?

Contraception should always be purchased like a pack of ciggarettes or gum. Insurance companys and goverment need to back the hell out of it and treat contraception like a vitamin. Inssurance companys need an overhaul. They ask too many damn questions. There rates and availability needs to be simple. Example. SOme day people with cheap tires will pay higher rates. Somewhere along the way some lost there minds and dragged this thing into territories it should not be. IMO

Also, recent polls conducted by Gallup and by CNN have all showed that less than half of women agree with the democrats on the issue of contraception. If Santorum and those "old white GOP tea baggers" really wanted to ban contraception, considering most women use it, 99% of women would support the dems. There's a reason why less than half do.

I live in Pennsylvania. The GOP lost the governorship by more than that. He won a few times before though. 2006 was a baddddddd year for republicans. And he's not trying to force himself into anything. If you look at what he, and the other republicans are against, it's forcing people to pay for contraceptive coverage (dems say free coverage, but let's face it.........insurance companies will simply raise their premiums to account for it). He's not against its availability.

With all due respect, Santorum won in Pennsylvania a few times, and even when he lost, he lost by less than most other republicans lost in the state. I'm currently not a Santorum supporter, but I'd take him over Romney any day. Who cares whether Romneycare was for just a state? It's not bad because of how many people it affects. It's bad because it forces people to buy a product or pay a fee. That's called government telling people what to do.

With all due respect, regardless of whether something was made for a state or a country, what is the difference? There is none. Obamacare isn't bad because it's a national plan. It's bad because it forces people to buy a product or pay a fee. That is exactly what Romneycare does.

Romney did raise taxes in Massachusetts. Romney calls it "closing loopholes" but that is EXACTLY what Obama calls it. When has Obama ever said he's raising taxes? He says "closing loopholes to make the system fair to everyone." Romney isn't a conservative as he says he is.
