Dream Theater Piano Medley by Motion Device's Andrea Menoudakis

Motion Device's Andrea Menoudakis plays some of her choice Dream Theater melodies on piano. In addition to her bass duties in the band, Andrea plays all of the band's keyboard parts and she is often found playing both instruments at the same time! She is only 14 years old and has been playing since she was 6.

What many people do not know about Andrea is she suffers from Epilepsy. Andrea was diagnosed with 'petit mal' or Absence Seizures when she was seven years old. The condition causes her to basically stop what she is doing for about 10-20 seconds at any given moment, and then she just carries on where she left off as if nothing even happened.

Being a musician in a rock band can obviously present certain challenges for Andrea, and even her band mates, but she refuses to let her condition get in the way of her dreams. Everyone in the band has her back at all times and most of the time, her condition is never even noticed.

To anyone out there with this particular form of Epilepsy, Andrea has one message for you - FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS!!! Enjoy the video.
