Dr. Brent Seales, professor of computer science at the University of Kentucky, reveals new research that may make it possible to read ancient scrolls and manuscripts that are unable to be physically unrolled. By scanning the objects, we may be able to virtually unroll these delicate objects without harming them.

  • very interesting. what's frustrating though about videos like this is that it's all about 'we did this, we did that, oh yeah we succeeded and we can read it' but....

    WHAT DOES IT SAY?!?!?!?!

    it's like writing a book review going 'i lifted the hardcover, which had a wraparound protective cover around it, i turned the pages, pausing from time to time and using the wraparound cover to remember where i had paused. finally after having turned each page i closed the book and now leave you clueless'
