An accomplished band leader, composer, arranger, jazz pianist and vocalist, Wendy performs throughout the Greater Los Angeles, and New York Tri State areas.Wendy Ryans musical career thus far has displayed the same tenacity and focus that has made her an outstanding teacher and communicator. As a pianist, arranger, composer, and vocalist, Wendy has performed extensively in New York, Los Angeles, Europe, and the Caribbean, at such venues as the Waldorf Astoria, Lincoln Center, and for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. She has performed with the late Tito Puente and Celia Cruz, and has opened for such jazz greats as James Moody and Jon Faddis. In April 2006, she performed at the Jacksonville Jazz Festival. As a composer, Wendy has had original music commissioned, performed,and recorded by various string quartets, woodwind quartets, and major Latin jazz groups , such as Seis del Solar (Ruben Blades band). She has also worked with Yamaha Corp. of America, piano division.
